  • My goal:

To apply the AGILE process to streamline course development, emphasizing rapid prototyping and continuous feedback. I wanted to focus on iteration and collaboration throughout the design process rather than following the linear ADDIE model.

    Training goal:

To help users become more comfortable using the PRC-PASS. The course walks them through key features so they can simulate communication and generate support materials. .

  • The design and development process:

    • Agile Design Approach: I implemented the AGILE model, developing and refining each lesson in short sprints based on feedback from subject matter experts and users.

    • Content Research: I analyzed PRC’s support materials and documentation to identify essential functions users need to understand for real-world application.

    • Scenario Demonstrations: I built realistic walk-throughs showing how to use PASS to create and customize vocabulary sets, emphasizing relevance and transferability.

    • Video Integration: I recorded and edited short Camtasia clips to demonstrate software navigation, ensuring clarity for visual learners.

    • Feedback & Iteration: I incorporated feedback after each development cycle, adjusting visuals, pacing, and narration for improved flow and accessibility.

Design Insight

What made this project unique was its modular design.

Each topic functions as a self-contained lesson, allowing learners to jump directly to the content that meets their immediate needs.

This flexible structure supports just-in-time learning, making it easy for users with varying familiarity levels to access practical guidance without completing the course linearly.

Quick Tips

The quick tips feature on the main menu was intentionally designed to support microlearning & learner autonomy.

By offering short, targeted insights at the point of need, users can refresh key skills or clarify steps without leaving the course environment.

This design choice reinforces self-directed learning and aligns with adult learning principles, allowing users to control their own pace and focus on what’s most relevant to their immediate goals.
